Why We Built This Site
When we first started exploring frequency wellness devices — PEMF mats, microcurrent devices, Rife machines, red light panels, binaural beats — we hit the same wall every curious person hits.
The information available online fell into two camps: enthusiastic promoters making extraordinary claims (often with affiliate links attached), and dismissive skeptics writing off the entire field as pseudoscience.
Neither was helpful. We wanted something in between — honest, well-researched information that acknowledged both the legitimate science and the legitimate limitations. We wanted the research cited, the claims checked, and the hype filtered out.
We couldn’t find it. So we built it.
What We Do
Frequency Tech researches, tests, and writes about devices and technologies across the entire frequency wellness spectrum — from FDA-cleared devices with decades of published research to experimental tools with passionate communities but no clinical trials.
Every article follows the same principles:
We Cite the Actual Research
When we reference a study, we link directly to the peer-reviewed source — typically through PubMed or NIH’s PubMed Central. No vague “research shows” without showing the research.
We’re Honest About Evidence
Some technologies have strong support. Others have promising early results. Others have none. We tell you which is which, clearly and without spin.
We Use Compliant Language
We don’t use “healing,” “therapy,” or “treatment” for consumer devices. These words imply medical claims that haven’t been validated. Language matters.
We Review Independently
Our reviews are based on research, user feedback, and direct experience — not manufacturer talking points. When claims go beyond the evidence, we say so.

How We Review Devices
Every device we review is scored across seven criteria. We weight evidence base and value for money most heavily, because the frequency wellness space is particularly prone to devices that cost a lot and promise more than they deliver.
How quickly can someone get started?
Materials, durability, and design
Range and variety of programs
Peer-reviewed research support
Is the price justified?
Manufacturer and community resources
Real-life integration and convenience
